Bollywood has been a major source of tourism across globe. It has been used to promote the tourist destination of Switzerland, Canada and Australia, and in many movies Maldives has also been used as shooting place by Hindi movie makers. The tourism ministers of the country want the seashore to be developed into a bollywood kind of studio to promote tourism.
