Music Review Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag

There are a total of nine songs in the movie. The songs of the movie has been composed, written and choreographed by Amar Mohile, Prasanna Shekhar and Nitin Raikwar, Ganesh Hegde, DJ Amyth, Shabbir Ahmed, Sajid - Farhad and Sharim - Momin. The music of RGV’s Aag has been promoted on television every week; weekly you see a new song being played from the movie.

Mehbooba O Mehbooba - The most popular song is Mehbooba song that has been cinematographed on the dancer actress Urmila Matongkar and the choreographer is Ganesh Hegde. Both involved in the song, and the song itself is the original Mehbooba song of the movie Sholay , so there is the impact of the song . Urmila performing a passionate act in the song and the lyricist for the song is Shabbir Ahmed.

The Mehbooba song has been performed in the movie by HR, Aap Ka Surror by Mallika Sherawat but the choreography of Aag version is more technical and advanced in concept. Anyway none is better than the Helen version of Mehbooba song of the original Sholay. The voices on the song are of Sunidhi Chauhan along with Sukhwinder Singh.

Remix Mehbooba is a DJ Amyth’s ‘remix version’ of the song.

Ye Aag Hai -The next song promoted on TV is the Title track ‘Ye Aag Hai’ that has the music by Amar Mohile and lyrics by Sharim Momin sung by Sunidhi Chauhan .This is a good song.

Jee Le - Prasanna Shekhar’s has composed this song and lyrics are by Sajid-Farhad .The sung has been sung by Vinod Rathod and Farhad Bhiwandiwala .The song has no impact as such.

Dum – Dum is a loud song composed by Amar Mohile and written by Sharim Momin has been sung by Vinod Rathod. It gets noisy at times.

Ruk Ja– Ruk Ja is a tapori kind of song composed by Amar Mohile. The song by Sajid-Farhad has been sung by Vinod Rathod and Sunidhi Chauhan and is cinematographed on Ajay Devgan and Nisha Kothari .The song has been tried to match the original Sholay song ‘Koi Haseena Jab’ ,that was cinematographed on Hema Malini and Dharmendra. But the impact of the original Sholay song is still fresher.

‘Holi – Holi song is again saying ‘Holi Kab Hai…Kab Hai Holi’ in Amitabh Bachchan voice by Sudesh Bhosle as was Amjad Khan in the previous movie. The song has been composed by Prasanna Shekhar and written by Sharim Momin. The song has been sung by Ravindra Upadhyaye, Shweta Pandit, Farhad Bhiwandiwala and Shreya Ghoshal .

Cha Raha - Cha Raha is a sensual song by Nitin Raikwar and sung by Vinod Rathod and Shweta Pandit. This is an impressive song.
