Aishwarya favourite to play Rani Ki Jhansi

The queen of hearts of millions of people seems to be a hot choice for the role of the brave and fiery Rani of Jhansi.Aishwarya Rai has been chosen to play the dream role in Ayesha Shroff’s next film.

Amongst all the noise about a possible end of Aishwarya’s acting career after her impending marriage to Abhishek Bachchan, the beauty seems to be on a roll for sure! Unfazed by media reports of her soon-to-happen marriage with Bachchan family accepting her, she’s still the favourite bet for many film makers.

Ayesha Shroff ( actor Jackie Shroff’s wife) has recently announced that her new film will be an epic movie based on the life of the warrior queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai. Hunt for a Hollywood director is on to bring the movie at par with the international audiences as well.
Meanwhile, reknowned film director Ketan Mehta, director of Mangal Pandey, has also been doing a lot of research work on his version of Rani of Jhansi for the past 2 years.

Ayesha’s recent announcement may well indicate to a possible competition for him in the market. And for Ketan,the obvious choice to play Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi is Aishwarya, again.
Along with Ash, even Sushmita and Bollywood’s very own Rani has shown keen desire to essay the dream role, though, Aishwarya remains a unanimous choice.

So, it’s time for critics to chew back their words, as Ash continues to charm the filmmakers even after her films fizz out at the box office. Seems like her days are far from getting over yet!
