Music Review of Nanhe Jaisalmer

The movie Nanhe Jaisalmer has been directed by Samir Karnik and the music has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The movie name includes the Rajasthan city Jaisalmer and the movie has been shot mainly in Rajasthan in the deserts. The story of the movie is about a little Rajasthani boy who is a great fan of Bobby Deol.

The hero Bobby Deol goes all his way to please the child and to meet him in Jaisalmer. The music has to be based on such background and the Rajasthani tunes have been integrated to Himesh voice and music. The lyrics have been written by Sameer.
The songs in the music are

Nanhe Yaar – The song Nanhe Yaar has been sung by Sonu Nigam and lyrics are written by Sameer. This is one of the adorable Rajasthani songs, with the feel of deserts. Sonu Nigam has done complete justice to imaginations of Himesh Reshmmiyan in the song.

Ulfat– The song Ulfat has been sung by Himesh Reshmmiyan himself. It is a pitchy song with abrupt rhythms and is one of the unpredictable kinds of music by Reshmmiyan.

Ulfat Remix – It is loud song which is difficult to understand at times.

Kesariya - Kesariya is a word used in many Ranjashthani songs. The song starts with Jayesh Gandhi singing the part of music with the Rajasthani rhythm and the antara lines are sung by Vineet. The music along with the singer make a good composition.

Ranjhana – Ranjana is having a heavy instrumentals and sound. Himesh Reshmmiyan sung the song and is an average song.

Ranjhana Remix - This is an average remix song not better than the original one.

Lamha Lamha – This is a romantic song sung by Himesh Reshmmiyan along with Sunidhi Chauhaan. Both the singers are average in song and are unable to make much impact through the song.

Overall Nanhe Jaisalmer is an average album but it is different in having a few songs with Rajasthani beats. Himesh Reshmiyaan had made the first song Nanhe Yaar a memorable one.

The rating for the music album is 7/10.
