Ganesh Pooja Celebrations and Indian Movies

Mumbai is celebrating the great Indian Festival that is Ganapati Pooja.T he idol of Ganapati is worshipped by the people for a new start in their life and to be successful in a new venture.

Lord Ganapathi is said to be a symbol of extreme patience, sincerity, knowledge and intelligence. The god is worshipped by all community in India for a bright future and guidance in case of starting a new project.

The Indian movies display the celebrations to the God Ganapati is many ways. The movie remake of Don released last years, enacted by Shahrukh Khan showed the Ganapathi pooja.

Many other movies like Ankush acted by Nana Patekar, Hum Paanch where worship of God is shown and acted by Mithun Chakraborty, Takkar released in 80’s acted by Sanjeev Kumar and most popular Amitabh Bachchan movie Agnipath, displayed Ganapathi and the pooja methods. This year the movie My Friend Ganesha was based on Ganapath pooja and shows how the God helps a little child.

Many actors and actresses celebrate this occasion with much devotion. The singer sisters Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle are devotees of Ganapati and celebrate it every year. Salmaan Khan is also a Ganapathi devotee and he along with the whole Khan family celebrates with his fans and friends the pooja.

Most of the Indian Cinema actors who are Maharashtrian and belong to Mumbai itself bring the idol of the God to their house and the pooja are done for 10 days with lastly dipping the idol into the sea water and a pray to the god to come again next year to solve our problems.
