Music Review Mummyji

The movie Mummyji has been directed by Pammi Somal. The movie is enacted by real parents of actress and wife of Anupam Kher, Kirron Kher .Music has been given by Aadesh Shrivastava. The lyrics are of Sameer and singers are Shrivastava, Hariharan, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Richa Sharma, Akruti, Hema Chandra, Gurdass Maan, Shweta Pandit, Rajiv, Arya and Neha Bhasin.

The cast includes Kirron Kher, Jackie Shroff and Divya Dutta.

Awaaz Do –The first song has been sung by Shaan, Richa Sharma, Akruti and Hema Chandra. It is a long song and some repeating lyrics that make it get drawn out. This one is an average song.

Hum Tum Akele Reh Gaye –This one is a good song of the album where singer Hariharan has performed the poetic lyrics by Sameer in very artistic manner. This has the capacity to generate emotions.

I wanna Rock like Mummyji - The song sung by Richa Sharma, Arya and Neha Bhasin makes fun of the character Mummyji and is not very impressive.

Jashna Di Raat Hai - Being a story from Chandigarh, the Punjabi is prevalent in the album and this one sung by Gurdass Maan is also one of those.

Kudiya Pataka – This one is also a Punjabi song by fault written by Sameer and the singers Aadesh Shrivastava and Neha Bhasin are awfully fruitless.

Mujhko Tu Pyaar Karade - This song has been sung by Sonu Nigam and Shweta Pandit. This is an average song.

Saada Chirian Da – One more of the album offering some positive music is Saada Chirian Da, sung by Rajiv. This song is also a Punjabi song and a few dialogues of Kirron Kher are also present in the song that ultimately changes the mood of the song.

Except for two songs Saada Chirian Da and Hum Tum Akele Reh Gaye most of the songs are ineffective.

The rating for the album is 4/10
