It is surprising that after so many assumptions and releases from Bollywood and also Hollywood, one of the Punjabi movies is topping the charts in UK Box office. The movie called Mitti Awaazan Mardi is getting maximum audience in a foreign country and is being watched again and again by the people there. Not only it is generating great reviews from critics but making huge money at the box office in UK. The movie is performing better than English comedy movies released in UK.

The movies in English released last week was Run, Fat Boy, Run ,this is a comedy movie is lagging behind in business as compared to the Punjabi movie, Mitti Awaazan Mardi, that was screened on only 11 screens in the country. The average collection by the movie in the weekend was $236,074.

The movie is of genre drama and stars Japji Khaira and Harbhajan Mann. The movie is being distributed by Think Big Entertainment Ltd and the director of the movie is Manmohan Singh. The movie runs for duration 2 hrs and 41 minutes. It is called The Homecoming in English.

The story of the movie is about a Punjabi family who is perplexed for where to live, in India or in a foreign country. The family tries to gets the solution to their dilemma as the son of the family selects a bride for himself. The drama is about the family being attached to the motherland and the situation that forces them to stay abroad.
