The Ganapati ceremony and the immersion of the idol of Ganapathi in Mumbai was filmed by the famous director Rituparno Ghosh along with his cinematographer Abhik Mukherjee. The movie is a short movie titled Mangal Moorty and mostly shot in the streets of Mumbai.
