Movies on Akbar
Indian cinema has been depicting the great historical warriors and kings from long and the movie makers have tried their best to show the grand lives of the kings and princes who were ruling in the country in the initial decades.
The favorite topic with the movie makers is Akbar and Mumtaz Mahal as Akbar was the most powerful king and Mumtaz Mahal was the beautiful Queen of Shahjahan and is considered to be the symbol of love as the king Shahjahan made the Taj Mahal in her memory after her death.
It is said that Mumtaz Mahal died when she was gain motherhood and the Shahjahan made the Taj Mahal in her memory. Shahjahan also made a Red Fort close to the Taj Mahal where he spent his life when he was given home arrest by his own son.
Indian cinema has been depicting the various stories related to the Akbar rule and animation series on the stories of Akbar and Birbal have also been made. Akbar was said to be very generous believing in all religion and keeping the best brains and best people of all the fields in his Sabha or house.
Not only that he was brave warrior who took over the kings’ seat at the age of 13, he had great knowledge of music, art and other fields as well. The distinctive character of the great king Akbar is being shown by the movie makers.
The movie Jodha -Akbar is to be released in the next year will show Hrithik Roshan performing the magnanimous character of Akbar and the role of Hindu princess Jodha whom Akbar married will be played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The 3 minutes trailer of the movie has been released by Ashutosh Gowarikar which is being shown in the theatres from 12 October.
The movie will show Akbar from the age of 13 to 28 and his principles and how the marriage between a Hindu Princess and a Muslim King changes the political scenario and social scenario in India. Huge sets and epic character have been displayed with much perfection as shown in the trailer of the movie. The maker of the movie Ashutosh Gowarikar said in an interview that the movie Lagaan was accepted by the audience which shows that historical movies will work.
