The Bollywood basically shows the culture of Indian subcontinent in a mixed way. From more than 20 states of India you get different dance patterns that are performed by the people of the region on various festivals and functions. The Indian cinema depicts these dance forms in their mixed form where you get all the dance forms performed together.

Today these dance forms are popular not only in India but in different parts of the world like Los Angles,California, London and now in Australia as well. The Punjabi Bhangra that was the local dance of the region Punjab in India is getting performed by not only Indian Punjabi’s who have taken these dance forms outside India but also by western audience.

Bollywood depicts all dance forms and has trained people in western dance who merge together the dances like Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kolhapuri, Disco, Garba and Bhangra along with Salsa together to give maximum entertainment from the fused dance form.

There are many Bollywood dance schools all over the world where you can learn the dances. One of the popular dance schools of west is NDM dance productions school in Los Angles that was established by Nakul Dev Mahajan and has branches in Los Angeles and California.

The popular choreographers in Bollywood are Farah Khan, Saroj Khan, and Ganesh Acharya .After the telecast of the TV dance program Nach Baliye 3 based on the concept of choreographed dance performances on Bollywood songs by artists, the choreographer Vaibhavi Merchannt and many other choreographers are also getting recognized among remote Indian TV audience.

The Bollywood concept is to provide maximum entertainment to its audience and dances and songs are said to give relaxation to mind and body and so it is being used by the movie makers to attract audience to their cinema.
