Chak De India verses Om Shanti Om in UK

The movie Chak De India was the best movie of the year 2007 that made huge collections at the box office in India and overseas. In the UK markets the rival movies from Bollywood Saawariya and Tom Cruise movie from Hollywood Lions For Lambs both were behind the movie Om Shanti Om in getting viewers.

If the collections at the box office made by OSO continue to be at the present level then the movie enacted by Shahrukh Khan will beat the earlier release of Shahrukh Khan in the year 2007 Chak De India at the box office.

The Yash Raj Banner movie Chak De India has not made good collections in UK as it did in India and other overseas markets and the box office reports of UK say that the collection of OSO will be more than Chak De in just four days of its release, before the next releases being made by Bollywood on the coming Friday.

The UK market for Chak De India closed at approximately Rs 34,094,355 in the current year after the release of the movie in mid 2007 and the movie OSO directed by Farah Khan has made half the total collections made by Chak De India in just two days of its release and it is expected that in four days the movie will make more collections then made by Chak De India in UK market.

The UK box office market has been giving different results from the Indian box office collections. The highest collections made in UK market by a Hindi movie are Namastey London that made a total of Rs 67,956,216 collection on closing.

Other movie trading well at box office in the international markets are Jab We Met , Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. These movies are performing well at the box office in India also and other releases of last weeks like Mumbai Salsa, No Smoking and Bal Ganesh are also in top 10 lists of the week in India.
