Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal talks about racism

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty faced racism on the British TV reality show and that was one of the blotted faces of the west. India is a land where racism is not known. Casteism was a problem some time back and it is slowly evading from India.

Casteism is basically the classes that were divided depending upon the family profession of a person. The people of India have all kinds of skin color and a person with black skin color having better cast could be considered higher in hierarchy than fair skinned low cast person.

Casteism said that any person could have any cast by selecting his profession .A low cast person was considered to be in a low profession like cleaning toilets or serving into meat industry and a high cast person was considered to the one who was a scholar and he educated children free of cost and did not earn money for himself.

Non vegetarian was strictly prohibited for high cast people and those into meat and calf business were considered low cast people. Casteism has been criticized by all Indians for more than 50 years and now it is prevalent only in the seat reservations that are given to students belonging to low cast families in medical and engineering colleges.

In all these it is clear than skin color and looks are definitely not important for
Indians but the Indians who migrate to other countries are surprised by the hate crimes practiced in few counties that come out for no logic just to favor a feeling of superiority for looks and color.

Bollywood is taking up the issue of racism in its upcoming movie Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal which is based in a western location. The movie actors complained of racist incidents on their shoot as well. No Indian rich or poor can experience racism if they are in India and outside to see such a thing is ugly. Bipasha Basu said that it was for the first time she faced such people who passed racist remarks on her and her counterpart Arshad Warsi. Later on Bipasha said that she preferred to ignore such an incident.

There has been a lot of preaching from the west over religion and casteism in India while west’s own problems of races stay uncured.
