Weekly Box office in India

The week is waiting to get release of Aaja Nachle and Gauri -The unborn. The effect of the movie releases will be seen mostly by weekend but the current box office statistics are encouraging for OSO and Jab We Met. The movie Jab We Met had been closed but the movie re-opened after the release of OSO and Saawariya and generated more revenue in the last two weeks.

Shahid and Kareena are being praised by the audiences for being together in the movie. The movie that mostly shows Indian sets must not have been a costly affair for the movie makers but it has made huge profits even though it was not promoted like OSO before its release.

OSO is steady on its record making track as the movie is not getting any competitor. The movie is being watched by audience from the last two weeks and it is still getting promoted by the casts of the movie. After two weeks of full house reports there is no need for further promotion of the movie that has been already declared a hit of the year.

The movie released last week Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal was unsuccessful in getting a Goal at the box office and the result was audience rejected the movie. The collections made by the movie are average in Metros and small town have straightaway rejected the movie. The acting of John Abraham and less important role of Bipasha Basu could have worked out for the director of the movie Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal but the earlier released movie on sports Chak De India was vastly effective in delivering sports related inspirational message onscreen and on getting compared to Goal, Chak De stood out to be outstanding and the best.

The movie Saawariya that was promoted to be a competitor of the movie OSO has been rejected by the viewers but the movie is still sustaining in the charts. The movie termed to be the worst movie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali by many audiences is still at the number three ranks in the movie charts. This could be the positive note for the movie maker.

The director of the movie has already declared that his movie has recovered the cost incurred in movie making. The movie was in second position in the last week and now it is on the third rank in charts below Jab We Met. One encouraging point for Saawariya is that Ranbir has been declared to be a star by the viewers and King Khan is being compared to the newcomer Ranbir and this fact is also astonishing for the director to feel good.

1. i think both the films oso and sawariya have flopped majorly from the feedback i have recieved from friends working in multiplex..audiences worldwide have rejected bhansalis beethowen and farah wwf saga

2. advance reports of aaja nachle arent that good…the buzz is that nobody wants to see a 40 plus a sa heroine and dancing without hero and smooches hugs and close scenes…madhuri had all the problem whereas her husband was quite comfortable with the idea of kiss and bedroom scenes

3. oso has rapidly slipped down and is being touted as one of the flops with sawariya..pl check your figures
