The movie Showbiz tries to show the negative effect of paparazzi following a famous personality. The movie has a reality to depiction but the script is weak to carry the movie for the three hours.

Like many of the Bhatt’s movie, Showbiz has a new subject to explore and debutant director Raju Khan and debutant casts Tushar Jalota and Mrinalini Sharma has a lot of scope but the impact of the movie is not as the previous movies made under Bhatt camp.

The movie is about the how for getting some money the media tries to get each and every detail of famous personalities and in their search many times they result in hurting the fame and position of the person they are trying to get in their cameras and their stories.

The story of the movie is of a young famous Rohan Arya who gets the fame and finance and along with it a group of ever chasing paparazzi who are annoying for him.

His news is always the hot subjects on the TV channels and for the media. A group of 4 media men are always after him and trying to get his weak nerve to expose to public in media.

Rohan is in search of a girl prostitute named Tara whom he find out one day and takes her in his car back home but in the way he gets the following 4 journalist and in trying to escape from them he meets an accident. Rohan is unsure what to do next. He has to tell people about his relation with the girl whom he was carrying and who ended up in ICU of the hospital after the accident. .

The movie tries to get into the tricky games played by media to gain attention, TRP’s and money.

The story initially is catchy but the end is not promising to make audience feel it worth to be watched for three hours. The role of police and legal methods are not shown realistically. The performance by Sushant Singh and Amin Hajee make them look real.

The director tries to get into the Bhatt style of movie making but is not completely successful in delivering it. Music is average. Technicals are average.

Performance by top leads like Tushar Jalota and Mrinalini are good. Sushant Singh and Saurabh Shukla are lovely.

The movie is average one that will not get all kind of audience in theatres even in the holiday season as some good movies like Taare Zameen Par, Return of Hanuman and Welcome are in theaters.

Rating: 4/10
