After the success of humanly underworld don character in the Bollywood like the Munnabhai sequences the trend of making movies on comical dons trying to follow the correct path of life has started.

The movie Don Muthuswami is about such a don who, when goes to visit his father on the deathbeds, he is slapped by his father for his criminal deeds. His father also says him that he brought slander to the family name and Don Muthuswami decides that he will change himself completely for his father.

He takes up changing from changing his language. He calls a teacher to teach him Urdu and Hindi. His henchmen Jaikishan also join him in changing himself and to follow a right path in life and he stays with the gang leader as a domestic help.

Don Muthuswami tries to change himself to become Sir Muthuswami. Muthuswami has a daughter Sanjana whom he want to marry to his underworld friend Vardhan’s son Pradhan .He also has a manager Preetam who steals money from his account and has gathered a lot of money to become a millionaire. His daughter is in love with Jaikishan and a girl Ranjana who initially calls herself to be Muthu’s daughter falls in love with his accountant Preetam .Later she agrees that she is not Ranjana’s daughter.

There are many issues that need to be solved by Muthu. He will have to get back his money from Preetam. His daughter is pregnant without his knowledge and he has to know who is the father of the unborn baby. Who will marry his daughter and the other gangs are trying to target Muthu when he is busy in his family affairs.
