Khan dominates the Tax Payers list of Bollywood stars

Shahrukh Khan paid Rs 27 crore tax in advance to the Income Tax department on December 15th and has attained to be the highest Tax payer from the Bollywood. The King of Bollywood showed his earnings to be Rs 100 crore in the current financial Year.

The Bollywood star, who gave two big hits to the Bollywood this year Chak De India and Om Shanti Om, had produced the movie Om Shanti Om and that made him to earn a lot from the highest grosser of the year.

Shahrukh Khan in the initial section of the year was hosting the show Kaun Banega KrorePati and for every episode he hosted he received 1 crore Rupees. The participants coming to the show may or may not have become crorepaties (millionaires) but the host Shahrukh Khan has gained 100 times of a crore by the year end.

This year the other star who was expected to pay a huge income Tax was Akshay Kumar but Akshay who takes about 15 crore for a movie but he has not produced any of his own movies and so he showed a low benefit out of the year and paid 7 crore tax.

The third highest tax payer is Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek Bachchan who endorsed many products and did the hit movie Guru paid Rupees 3.7 crore to the tax department in the year.

Aamir Khan this year had made the movie Taare Zameen Par and was engulfed in may family issues but the actor who charges more than 20 crore for a movie paid only 3 crore rupee in the year 2007 end. After the release of the movie Taare Zameen Par Aamir must have gained a lot and may be he will have more in next few months.

Amitabh Bachchan who last year paid a good amount towards taxes was in a low form this year and he paid only 1.8 crore rupees towards taxes. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan paid 1.6 crore rupees of Advance Tax to the department for the year 2007.Other actress who paid Tax in crore was Kareena Kapoor who paid 1 crore tax to the department.

The news is also that Himesh Reshmiyaan who charges Rs 5.5 crore as a music composer and as an actor paid about Rs 2.5 crore advance taxes. The huge tax payers also included many production houses and distributors.
