Raima Sen delivers another brilliant performance in the movie Anuranan. Like her grandmother Suchitra Sen, Raima delivered a mature performance through the movie that is the first Bengali movie shot in London. The movie’s story starts from London and comes back to India in the later part. In India the story goes to the hills of Kanchenjunga. The movie has been screened in many film Festivals and made records for running for about 100 days. The movie was released last year in Kolkatta.

The way the movie story has been depicted makes it a very confusing movie but the performance by the actors like Rahul Bose and Raima Sen are applaud able. The story of the movie is of couple Rahul (Rahul Bose) and his wife Nandita (Rituparna Sengupta) who stay in London and return back to their country after many years. The couple lived outside India but they still hold the values and way of livings and culture of their motherland.

The couple on returning back to India makes fiends with Amit and Preeti. The past of the four people disturbs them and present attractions among the individuals is shown in the movie that gets more confusing when Rahul is found dead one day at the place where he was to working on a project. Who killed Rahul and why? These are the questions for which the movie tries to get the answers.

There are many questions in the movie that go unanswered and the viewers keep guessing throughput he movie. The movie is not as such entertaining but the cinematography of the beautiful locations where it is shot is just brilliant. The same can be said for the performance of the top actor Rahul Bose and Raima Sen.
