The story of the movie Pankh is about child artists in Bollywood. All the kids who are associated to the Bollywood are not always superstars later in age and what can happen to the life of such kids who get into the Bollywood instead of school and colleges in a small age when they need to learn things related to life and study in schools with kids of their age. The psychological problems faced by children when they get the stardom are shown in the movie.

The movie starts with an ambitious mother trying to push her kid to get into Bollywood and at an early age her child gets into the film Industry. The little boy has to play the role of little girl in the movie and is called Baby Kusum. He plays the role of girls in movies and later turns into a Christian and called Jerry. Later he is called Master Jai as per the convenience of the movies made. He and his mother are having a disturbed relation and he reaches adolescence in such upbringings. As an Adolescent he is no more a star and he turns into a drug abuser .He has no work as he is uneducated and he spends his time at his home.

Once he meets a girl Nandini whom he starts loving but he has many problems and he day dreams of Nandidni. He is finding it difficult to face himself and life turns in his favor when he gets another chance to prove himself as he comes in front of camera again. Jerry faces the camera as an adult but that turns out to be more difficult for him. The movie depicts the problems of kids in Bollywood and brings out more sour realities of the so called glamorous and rich Industry of cinema.
