On 7th March the movie Black and White will be released. The movie Black and White is a Subhash Ghai directed and produced movie and is based on social subject of terrorism. Association of Subhash Ghai to the movie increases the expectations of the viewers though many say it is a small movie by Ghai who generally makes big budget and heavy star cast movie .The movie Black and White also has some good stars cast that includes actor like Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah.

The weekend box office may be or may not be affected by the release of Black and White and currently the movie Jodhaa Akbar is enjoying being the lone player in the theatres. Jodhaa Akbar started with a low amidst the oppositions from the Rajput groups and ban on the movie in many states. The Rajput groups opposed the depiction of the Akbar’s wife as Jodhaa .The name Jodhaa was the name of daughter-in-law of Akbar and that has been getting oppositions form the groups. The historians said that the names of Mughal wives were never clear in history and so a controversy over name cannot be supported.

The Rajput groups have also been against the way their status is getting depicted in the movie. The movie has also been criticized for its length. The audience went to the theatres thinking about the movie length but the movie was ultimately not lengthy to make it boring but the length was the need of the story. The movie was banned in states like Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh and the distributors incurred losses over the movie initially.

Later the ban on the movie was lifted at many places after the court ordered the ban to get lifted and the movie got screened in theatres. When the movie was released it had almost 3 weeks to get screened as lonely movie in the theaters with no competition but due to oppositions the movie lost some business that it tries to recover in the last week with no competition. The movie had a speedy revenue collection after the screening

In international scenario the movie Jodhaa Akbar got praised for depicting Indian culture and richness of society .The movie got praised for the depiction of religious integration in Indian society that approves marriage between Mughal King and a Hindu Princess and both are allowed to practice their religion after the marriage.
