Katrine Kaif has been denying the reports that her association to Salman Khan has been the main reason behind her success in movies and she may not be lying because the news is that Salman Khan has left her promotions to promote the actress Mehek. Mehek was initially seen in the movie Nayee Padosan. Katrina is considered to be a successful actress in Bollywood after she worked in movies like Namastey London, Partner, Welcome etc and she is doing movies with some top banners of Bollywood.

The association of Salman Khan and Mehek can be considered to be a bad signal for Katrina but people related to Salman say that Salman thinks that success has changed Katrina and currently Katrina is too serious for her professional life which is not liked by Salman. Earlier also the news of relations between Katrina and Salman was assumed to be a professional association for benefit of both.

From a year the distance between Katrina ad Salman is said to have increased and some small conflicts between Katrina and Salman was also reported. It was also said that Katrina was slapped by Salman Khan in a restaurant and Katrina too did not liked to answer question related to Salman to the media.

Mehek has been signed by Salman for the movie Mr. and Mrs Khanna and she was also offered to perform a dance number in the Salman Khan movie Dead and Alive .But Mehek refused to do the dance number saying that she was more serious towards making her career as an actress in movies then doing item songs in movies. The actress Mehek is also spotted on the sets where Salman Khan shoots.
