Music Review: Tashan

The Yash Raj Banner movie is never made without a good music or at least one song of the album generally goes in the top lists in the charts. The movie Tashan is in news from almost a year, not for its story or for movie makings, but for the affair of the lead cast Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan and the actress Kareena Kapoor always in her interviews talks high about the movie Tashan

Amidst all these, there are enormous expectations of the audience with the movie and its music. The music of the movie has been composed by duo Vishal-Shekhar and the audience expects smart choreography of these songs.

These are the songs of the movie:

Dil Haara: This is a song written by Piyush Mishra and has voice of Sukhwinder Singh. The song has western music and desi background. This love song has been shot in Greece and is said to have been shot in negative 4 degrees Celsius. The music is just rocking and the song can be expected to be in charts.

Tashan : The character introductory dialogues are also into the music album and all the characters Pooja, Jimmy, Bachchan Pande and Bhaiyaaji introduce their so called Tashan in their own voices. This is not a song but just dialogue speaking by characters.

Chhaliya :This is a Sunidhi Chauhan’s song and as expected has lots of western music. Kareena will be appearing in the song and Piyush Mishra recites a few lines in the song. The song is written by Anvita Dutt Guptan and the writing needs brushing up. The song is not striking enough.

Dil Dance Maare:The song has been completely thought and made by the composers Vishal Shekhar as Vishal himself writes the rare lyrics of the song. The song has been sung by Udit Nrayan and that makes it attractive. The music typically belongs to the duo and is an attractive average song.

Falak Tak : A lovely romantic song Falak Tak is one of the best songs of the album and credit goes to the voice of Udit Narayan and Mahalaxmi Iyer. The lyrics of the song are of Kausar Munir.

Tashan Mein :The song has dominating guitar sound and lyrics are of Piyush Mishra and Vishal. Though the music is exciting but being a title track of Yash Raj movie, it could have been made better.

The album has a few good things to make it to the charts though the listener wished some more of good songs in the album. Best is the Udit Narayan’s romantic song ‘Falak Tak’.
