Britain becomes the largest International market for Indian movies

The Indian movies that were released in the last year were declared successful not only for its performance in the Indian market but also for its collection in U.K. Currently the Indian cinema is screened in many middle east countries, European countries like Britain, France ,Russia and America and the films are praised for depicting Indian style stories.

The last year movies like Om Shanti Om was made in a way to suit the taste of international audience of India movies and the crew member of the movie promoted Om Shanti Om more outside India then in India and the movies were benefited from the promotion because the revenue was better then what the movie could get in India. Mostly the three movies Om Shanti Om, Namastay London and Partner, were able to get a total of 30 lakhs pounds that is a high amount as compared to the collections made by these movies in Indian market.

The inter -cultural movies has always been invited in India and the Indian movies are also screened in many parts of the world but many Indian television shows and movies had been banned in neighboring country Pakistan and Afghanistan by the government of Pakistan even when India has been screening Pakistani movies and allowing the artists from Pakistan to work in Indian movies.

The movies that were allowed to screen in Pakistan could do encouraging business on the box office. Recently the Hindi movie Race increased people going to theatres in Pakistan and the theater owners were happy over the reaction of the audience .The hindi movies Taare Zameen Par ,Tashan and Jannat are waiting to get cleared by the Pakistani censor board to be allowed to get screened. One of the Pakistani officials commented that it is a shame that no decision is taken democratically based on people’s choice in Pakistan.
