Music Review: Bhoothnath

Boothnath’s music is far behind the music of the movie Taare Zameen Par, when compared with the point of view that both the albums needed children to come onscreen. The music of the album has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar and the lyrics are of Javed Akhtar but the expected superior music lacks in the album.

‘Mere Buddy’ –The song shown in the promotional of the movie on small screen is Mere Buddy and the music is just average, not catchy enough to make you listen to it repeatedly. Kid singer Arman Mallik gets behind the mike with Amitabh Bachchan to sing for the song.

‘Hum To Hain Aandhi’ –The kids Koushtuv Ghosh, Sharavan Suresh, Sneha Suresh and Aparna Bhagwat get together for the song and the music of the song is average but the enthusiasm in the song is effecting.

‘Banku Bhaiya’ – Sukhwinder Singh sings the song ‘Banku Bhaiya’ that has a folky touch and the song is entertaining.

‘Samay Ka Pahiya ‘- A serious song sung by Hariharan and Amitabh Bachchan ‘Samay Ka Pahiya ‘ is also an average song of the album.

‘Chalo Jaane Do ‘- Juhi Chawla sing the song along with Amitabh Bachchan and this one is also an average one.

‘Theme Boothnath’: This is impressive two minutes piece.

The music album is different because Juhi Chawla who has been learning classical music from some time, debuted as a singer through the album and paired up with Amitabh Bachchan to get behind the mike. The album has light mode music almost not to be remembered for long.
