First Look: Rang Rasiya

The movie Rang Rasiya is based on the story of a painter. The movie is directed by Ketan Mehta and is produced by Aanand Mahendroo and Deepa Sahi. The film is being made under the banner Infinity Filmed Entertainment and the music of the film will be composed by Sandesh Shandilya and the lyrics of the songs will be written by Manoj Muntashir.

The story of the movie has been written by Ketan Mehata though the movie will be based on the novel written by Ranjit Desai on the life of the painter Raja Ravi Varma. The main character of the movie will be played by Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen. The movie has been made in two languages, Hindi and English and the English version is called “Colours of Passion”.

The other casts in the movie include Paresh Rawal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Deepti Naval, Sachin Khedekar, Darshan Jariwala, Jim Boeven, Rajat Kapoor, Prroshant Narayannan, Vikram Gokhale, Suhasini Mulay and Tom Alter. The costumes of the film will be designed by Niharika Khan and Poornamrata Singh.

Raja Ravi Varma is considered to be a Prince amongst Painters for his creativity and imaginations and he used to sketch his imaginations with Charcoal on the walls of the palace Kilimanoor when he was a kid. He used the faces of gods and goddesses in his imaginations .The story of the film is about his long life relationship to his muse and passion of love the two shared.

The music of the movie has been written and it has six songs that are composed by Sandesh Shandilya. The singers are Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan. Since the main character was a known painter who made masterpieces from his imaginations the movie has been made with delicate show of creativity and beauty that could make the audience feel the past era that is being depicted and even the lead characters like Randeep Hooda has changed looks to match the role.
