Music Review: Ada…A Way Of Life

After the success of “Jannat”, music has become important for low profile films and A.R. Rahman is coming up with the album of the film “Ada…A Way Of Life”. It is expected that the album will have a few song that will reach charts.

‘Ishq Ada’ – The vocals in the song is of Rashid Ali and the Arabic lyrics are of Raqeeb Alam. The sound of guitar and urdu words mixed song has been sung by Parul Mishra in the female version of the same song.

The only problem with the song is that its lyrics will not be clear to many though it is entertaining and it is attractively classical .It will also not satisfy the needs of youth party goers. The song is spiritual sufi and emotional one.

‘Hawa Sun Sun’ –Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik together in a Rahman’s composed song add weight to the song and the instruments in music of the song is Tabla and flute that make is exceptional. The lyrics by Nusrat Badr are another big advantage to this incomparable song.

‘Gum Sum’-The classically Indian instruments ’santoor’ and ‘jaltarang’ sounds make the song romantic (looks shot in some hilly peaceful locations ) and the voice of experienced singers Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik make this song from Rahman a gift to youth in love.

‘Gulfisha’ - Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan get together for this song that has romantic lyrics by Nusrat Badr. The romantic song is high in expression and poetry is another draw of the song.

‘Meherbaan’-The song has been written by Raqueeb Alam and the song has been sung by Rahman and the piano, guitar sounds are lovely to hear along with the impressive poetry in the song.

‘Tu Mera Hai’- This is a sufi kind of song by Rahman and it has been sung by Chitra and Sukhwinder Singh and vocals are of Naresh Iyer .This is an average song of the album.

‘Hai Dard’-The voice of Udit Narayan makes it a comfortable song to hear but the arrangement and background music of the song is monotonous and not fresh.

‘Milo Waha Waha’ – Alka Yagnik sings this song and vocals are of Jayachandran and this song is also less effectual.

About two to three songs in the album like ‘Hawa Sun Sun’ and ‘Meherbaan’ are worth to be heard and these songs have the potential to reach charts. The film is low profile movie but the music can be said to be effective enough to call audience to theatres.
