Pakistani film to be released in India- “Ramchand Pakistani”

The Pakistani film “Khuda Ke Liye” got praised by critics in India and in Pakistan and the film got average reports from the audience when the film got screened in Indian theaters and another Pakistani film is ready to be released in India called “Ramchand Pakistani.”

The film is directed by Mehreen Jabbar and the script has been written by Mohammad Ahmed and Javed Jabbar .The lead casts in the film are Nandita Das, Rashid Farooqi, Fazal Hussain, Nouman Ijaz.

The story of the film is about a low caste Hindu family that stays in Pakistan where the majority of population is Muslim. The father and son of the family, unintentionally cross the borders and get into the neighboring country India, to be trapped by the border forces.
The family constitutes of father, mother and a seven year old boy and the father and son get imprisoned by the border forces when they cross the border. The seven year old boy misses his mother being away from her and the mother of child is suffering being lonely.

The increased border terrorism in India from across the border makes the security forces to suspect people of all class and religion who enter into the borders of the country from the neighboring country and the film shows that though the father and son who crossed the borders belonged to a majority religion of India, the security forces were not kind towards them to release them after knowing that they were Hindus.

Like the film “Khuda Ke Liye” that depicted the plight of Muslims from Pakistan who are being suspected worldwide, after the 9/11 effect and the film “Ramchand Pakistani “will shows the dilemma of Pakistani minority groups. Both the films show the changing perception about people from Pakistan in the world.
