The film “Rock On” is in news because the director Farhan Akhtar will be debuting as an actor from the film and the TV star Prachi Desai will be appearing opposite him. The initial promotional of the film has been released on small screen and the story of the film is about a rock band consisting of four youngsters.

First of the group is Joe Mascarenhas (Arjun Rampal) is loyal towards his band and his girlfriend .He is lead guitarist of the band and he is extremely talented but lacks expression. The second is KD (Purab Kohli) who is a drummer in the band and he belongs to a jeweler’s family but the atmosphere of his family business suffocates him and he feels free when he slams the drums.

The third member of the band is Luke Kenny (Rob Nancy)–who is mediator in all controversies and is a great friend. He is fine on keyboard and the fourth is Aditya Shroff(Farhan Akhtar) -the son of a rich family in Delhi but his dream is to be a singer in a band that will rock .His expression of poetry is amazing and that makes him a lead singer praised by Gen X.

The four friends of the band haven’t achieved their dreams and after many years of their separation, they get together again and try to achieve their dreams.

The film will be released on August 29, 2008.
