Weekly Box –office Review
kismat
The week will witness a few promising movies like Aziz Mirza’s “Kismat Konnection” and Ram Gopal Varma’s “Contract.” Both the films are of different genre and the movies are expected to be full of components needed to impress audience going to theatres. The music of the film “Kismat Konnection” is already accepted by audience and the chemistry of Vidya and Shahid looks promising to fans. But something most unpredictable is, box-office response.

The last week had only one movie release “Mehbooba” that was an outdated film and the audience even in small towns rejected the film. The film starring Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt and actress Manisha Koirala failed at the box –office and the film had poor performance on ticket office.

The two week old film “Jaane Tu….” came up amongst audience with the youthful fresh energy and the response in multiplexes was excellent towards the film. The film grossed a total of Rs 20.50 crores from the two week of its release and even in overseas market the film is getting praised.

The start of the film “Jaane Tu….” is steady but after the release of a competitive film this week may effect its business .The film has been made in a low budget and not only the debutant actors got benefited from the film but the producers and marketing teams also were benefited by the movie ticket sales.

The film “Love Story 2050” is not getting collections equal to “Jaane Tu “ though the film is being watched by audience .The film was made out of a huge budget ,the collections are low in comparison to investments made on the film. In the Indian market the film got a total of Rs 11 crores after getting released.

The audience a re waiting for the next Yash Raj release “Bachnaa Ae Haseeno” that is having a positive impression on audience and the previous Yash Raj film “Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic” was watched by kids and families and it is not a popular movie. The film got low collections and as the total collections are 21.50 from the Indian market sale of tickets. The film was made out of investment of Rs 20 crores and the profit is low in comparison to investment.
