Music Review: Mukhbir

The music of the film “Mukhbir” has been composed by Mani Shankar and as the name of the film indicates, the presence of urdu lyrics is prominent in a few songs and classical Indian music can also be heard in the album.

‘Tu Salamat’ – The song ‘Tu Salamat’ is a romantic song full of urdu lyrics that is impressive part of the song and music is basically the guitar sounds .The song has been sung by KK and the beats are impressive but the song appears to be like heard somewhere.

‘Jeena’ –This is an inspirational song in which the instruments are amazing and the song has been composed by Sandeep Chowta. The song is in voice of Sonu Kakkar. A music video has been made from the song as the song has been impressively choreographed in the video. This is a good song of the album.

‘Dhoonde Dil’ – Hariharan sings the song and the song speaks about the emotions of a Mukhbir. The lyrics are meaningful and voice of hariharan suits the song. The song has been composed by Sashi Pritam, a telugu composer. The music has the rock beats and serious stuff.

‘Tere Bina’ –After the urdu and rock music, the album comes up with Indian classical, the song ‘Tere Bina’ in the voice of Kartik Raja .The song is impressive for its classical notes that has been sung well by the singer.

‘Piya Mera Banjara’ –The next song is an addition to the Indian classical list having embedded Rajasthani folk and the Indian instruments like sitar and tabla can be heard in the song .The lyrics are extremely poetic and meaningful. This is an impressive song.

This is an album that does not have a Punjabi Bhangra or a western hip hop but still fresh music has been offered in the album. The songs are not of high beats and the film is not a highly promoted movie, having a romantic glamorous script and actors to attract youth but the album will be popular for few good songs.
