The story of the film “A Wednesday “is about bomb blast in Mumbai city and the preparation, alertness of Mumbai Police in detecting the bombs. On a Wednesday a rather roguish man (played by Naseerrudin Shah ) ,implants bombs on various locations in the city Mumbai and he even informs the police about his deeds .This man challenges the men in police to track the bombs he placed on various locations in Mumbai. Anupam Kher and Jimmy Sheirgill play the policeman searching for bombs.

The film “A Wednesday “was expected to complete production in the last year and in the year 2007, it was expected to be released but the production of the film got delayed and this year the film has been scheduled to be released on September 5 .It is said that the shooting of the film is started and first looks and promos of the films were released by the makers of the movie.

The film is a less promoted small budgetet movie in which the lead casts are Rajpal Yadav, Aamir Bashir, Deepal Shaw and Gaurav Kapoor. The film is directed by debutant Neeraj Pandey. The film is produced by Anjum Rizvi Film Company and A Friday Filmworks. “A Wednesday” is a film by UTV motions Pictures.
