What is the 21 Battle of Saragarhi?

Sanjay Dutt is preparing to make a movie on the Battle of Saragarhi that will be named “21 Battle of Saragarhi- From Ashes to Glory.” In the battle twenty one Sikhs of the 4th Battalion fought with 10,000 Afghan and Orakzai tribesmen, for the British India. The 21 Sikh were defending their posts and they fought to death against the powerful army of the rivals.

The film will have many special effects and a high budget of Rs 200 crores has been allotted to the making of the movie .Many technicians from bollywood and Hollywood will be called to get the movie done in the needed way.The film will be made by Sanjay Dutt’s Productions and G S Entertainment and the film will be directed by Rohit Jugraj who directed the action film produced by Ram Gopal Varma “James. “

Sanjay will be making the movie with Bunty Walia, who is a Sikh and he wishes show the strength of Sikh fighters who lost their lives, fighting in the Battle of Saragarhi. The film will have Sanjay Dutt playing the lead role name Havildar Ishar Singh and 20 other actors will be roped in for the roles of other fighters in the film.

The actor Sanjay Dutt, Bunty Walia and Rohit Jugraj even held a meeting with the defence minister A K Antony and I&B minister Priya Ranjandas Munshi to talk about the film. The film is basically based on name of a war that was fought in a village on the border of district of Kohat, located on the Samana Range, currently in Pakistan, on 12 September 1897 by the brave fighters of Sikh Regiment, formed on the 20th April 1894 by the British Army, under the command of Colonel J. Cook.
