Inspired by the success of first film on Ganapati “My Friend Ganesha”, the director made a sequel of the movie. The film “My Friend Ganesha 2” is about how Lord Ganesh helps a child and the god also teaches him a lesson that the people who help themselves are helped by the Almighty.

The film is about a little boy who has the habit of putting hands on his ears and he is ridiculed by his school mates for his habit. The boy Vashu is only kid of couple, Airhostess Anita and Dr. Amit and the parents of the child are always fighting with each other. One friend of Vashu, Tanya understands that Vashu hears fight of his parents when he removes hands from his ears and that makes him keep his hands on his ear every time. By the time, little Vashu get one more friend and that is Gangu Tai., who is the new maid of the family and she tells Vashu the stories of Lord Ganpathi.

Once a dance competition is held in school and Vashu agrees to participate in the dance competition but he is made fun by his friends who disrupt his dance practice session and breaks his music CD.

Vashu comes crying to Gangu and she tells the boy how Ganapati helped the Mushak Raja or the mice King when he prayed him. Gangu tells Vashu that if he makes friend with Lord Ganpati and bring him home in the five days of Ganapati Celebrations, he will get all his deserved happiness and success in the dance competition. Vashu brings Lord to his home and he wins the dance competition and many of his other problems also get solved. He also comes to know that Lord says that he helps people who help themselves.

The film will be released on august 22.
