The film “Dostana” has been made by Karan Johar .Karan paid tribute to his father by making “Dostana” that is named after his father’s film that got released in 1980. One thing very common fact about Karan’s movies is that he displays gay relations. None of the other Indian filmmaker tries to depicts, the gay concept, the way it is shown in Karan’s movie.

It is surprising that the young filmmaker Karan Johar, who in his 30’s has never been linked seriously to any actress like it happened to Aditya Chopra, Vikram Bhatt or Ram Gopal Varma. Karan’s attraction to showing gays in movies continues with his depiction of gay friends in “Dostana.” Why Karan wants to promote such concept is not known. But whatever be the show, the film promos are about two friends in Miami and the locations are very beautiful. The film promotional looks inspired from Hollywood movies.

Priyanka Chopra in gold lame swimsuit looks perfectly figured and she doesn’t appear vulgar. The promotional of John Abraham and Abhishek is ok. The film story is about how two men pretend to be gay to get a room on rent. It is an uncomfortable script for the supporters of Indian culture but in America recently a law was passed that allowed gay marriages. Bollywood directors are smart in getting inspired from Hollywood and Karan knows how to show odd stories and get audience attentions. It seems being out of the crowd helps the movies to get viewers.

The promotional proves that the film has nothing to do with the Yash Johar’s film “Dostana” that was released in 1980 and the film had Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Zeenat Aman, Prem Chopra, Amrish Puri, Helen, Pran and Paintal in lead roles. The story of the 80’s film was about best friends who get trapped in opposing situation.
