The coming Friday will have four releases like the previous week. Last week the movies released were Ram Gopal Varma’s “Phoonk,” “Mumbai Meri Jaan”, “Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Aazm” and “My friend Ganesha 2.” This week the four movies that are ready to release are Bobby Priyanka’s film on Naxalites “Chamku”, Tusshar Kapoor’s comedy “C Kkcompny”, the third is the film on secret agent and underworld “Mukhabir” and the Farhan Akhtar’s debuting film “Rock On!” that is based on a rock band that establishes itself after much efforts.

“C Kkcompny” is releasing with an advantage that it is a comedy movie, Farhan Akhtar’s movie “Rock On!” has the youth theme and it will also get audience. The film “Chamku “ can get audience in small towns of North India and “Mukhabir” has a rather common theme of underworld and no glamour is attached to the movie .The movie “Mukhabir” has not been promoted well but the movie direction and other factors will decide ,if it is viewable or not.

And what happened to the last week’s releases? The film “Phoonk” got a fine opening .Thanks to the promotional and horror theme directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film shows have been increased in multiplexes and Ram Gopal Varma is waiting for the film to be declared a hit. The units of “Phoonk” and the director producer have already celebrated the success of the film by giving a grand party. Ram Gopal Varma has collected Rs 3 crores from the film.

“Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Aazm “got below average start and the film “Mumbai Meri Jaan” is picking up in theatres after the film got positive responses from the critics. The film “My friend Ganesha 2” opened low but the film will do business like its initial sequel through the DVD releases. The previous week’s movies “God Tussi Great Ho” collected Rs 11.50 crores and “Bachchna Ae Haseeno” collected a total of Rs 21.75 crores from India and “Singh Is Kinng” collected more than Rs 61 crores.
