Music Review: Karzzzz

Himesh Reshammiya, contemplates to be jack of all trades from the movie “Karzzzz” that is a remake of Subhash Ghai’s 80’s film “Karz.” Incidentally the main track of the film “Ek Haseena Thi ” has been taken in the remake from the original film and the new film has two CDs with 10 remixed versions.

”Lut Jaon Lut Jaon” – The song has the voice of Himesh, that is his style of music and sound, is present in the song and the Sufi effect is also prevalent. The lyrics By Sameer is amazing and party beats are fine. The song is present in the ”Club & Lounge” remixed versions.

”Hari Om”-Though the song is like the “Om shanti Om” song of the original film “Karz “ but the Himesh effect and his nasal voice with the Sufi kind of music is present ,that make it different from original track. This is a fast song with versions like ”Electro mix” that has been done by Akbar Sami and the music is entertaining.

”Tandoori Nights” – The hip hop ”Tandoori Nights” has lovely music but the dance on the song has not been choreographed very well. The song is shown in the promotional of the film. Himesh and Sunidhi get together for the song and the remixed versions by Akbar Sami’s ”club” party version is hearable.

‘‘Soniye Je Tere” – This is an emotional intense love song and the lyrics are very effective. Voice of Himesh is present in the song and Tulsi Kumar has part in remixed version. The music of the song is ok that is similar to the African American rap songs. The party elements are prevalent even in this song of the album.

”Dhoom Tere Ishq Ki”- The song has lovely poetic lyrics and Himesh tried to make it sweet love song with Indian music remixed to the western. The music of the song is again an attraction. The song is also present in ”club and lounge mix”.

”Sisak Sisak Ke” – The song is another dance floor number with the so called Himesh effect and the lyrics are also impressive. The music of this song is ok. In the album the remixed version is called the “club & lounge mix” and the remixing has been dome by Akbar Sami.

”Tere Bin Chain Na Aaave”– This is different from the other songs in the album because if follows the music of the Ghazals and Indian feel. The song is similar to ”Dhoom Tere Ishq Ki”, because you hear the Indian musical instruments in the song. Tulsi Kumar’s presence makes it delighting to hear though the song is mainly in voice of Himesh. The song has the ”Club & Lounge remix” version and it is a party song.

”Masha Allah” – The song ”Masha Allah” has the sufi rock music and it is a situational number that is impressive.

‘‘Ek Haseena Thi” – The song is lovely, you remember 80’s movie “Karz “and the guitar sound of the original song is an entertaining number. The song has voice of Shreya and Himesh and the song will get the benefit for being already known to audience as it is easily accepted to the audience and the music of the song that was made in 80’s was an energetic new number. The song has another version called the ”Club & Lounge Remix” version.

The album has come up with a potential to help the movie get an advantage and even call audience to theatre to watch the movie. Most of the tracks are fun party numbers and remixing is also done properly.
