Movie Review: A Wednesday!Movie Review: A Wednesday! The films “A Wednesday!” ridicules the security institutions ,intelligence agencies and police that are unprepared to face uncertain bomb blasts and the film shows that common man can test the credibility of these security institutions. The film script doesn’t talk of any bomb blasts accident but it shows the loopholes in our security system and the performance of actors like Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah make the film look real. The film starts as the commissioner of police Prakash Rathod gets a call on a Wednesday that the city is sitting on bombs planted at various places by a man and if the police want to stop the bomb explosion it will have to release a set of four militants who are in various cells. Initially the cops consider the call to be a crack call but soon they find a bomb at the place where the caller said he planted a bomb and the policemen are forced to believe the caller .The police agrees to the caller and the chief minister of the state asks the police man to tackle the situation on his own with no external help. Police head tries to get the caller but they couldn’t succeed as the caller is himself very smart in clearing the imprints of his presence at every place. As the police is enquiring about the caller it meets a journalist who also received a similar call from anonymous caller about the bombs planted in the crowded city at various places. The police tries to get the name of the places where the bombs are planted to prepare in advance to save people’s life and the film tries to show that the security men, on whom every common man relies blindly is so helpless but after much effort the police reaches the culprit to find him a sufferer. The film has no music and cinematography is fine. The shooting has been done mostly in Indian city Mumbai and the movie is in sync with the script’s need. The performance of Anupam Kher is flawless. Naseeruddin Shah is fine as ever. Deepal, Jimmy Shergill and Aamir Bashir are also effective in their roles. The film has a tight depiction of the script; you don’t get time to see sideways, because the grasp on the character and script is powerful. The film is good in many ways but the audience who love to watch romantic comedies and songs will be disappointed because the film is not about entertainment. The last part is too educating. The film will get average audience response. Rating: 5/10 Last 5 posts in Gossip
