“Hijack” is action movie with a different script having some highly experimental action shots worth to be watched but the mishandling of the powerful concept is equally perceptible in the film. The film has the famous shot of Shiney Ahuja landing on the wings of an airplane in air, well directed by Kunal Shivdasani but the complete package is not very grasping. The music is entertaining and even disturbing at times and the performance of Shiney is fine.

The story of the film is about terrorism, bomb blast and Hijack of a plane. A group of terrorist fails in their mission and a few of the militants get caught by the Indian police and the furious militants trying to get their people out of the prison by hijacking an airplane. Vikram Madan lost his wife during hijack of the plane in which he was a pilot and his flying license was cancelled after the tragic incident because he violated laws during the hijack. Vikram has been shifted to ground duties after the incidents.

The plane that is hijacked by the militants to get their imprisoned men out of the Indian cells and the plane is carrying Vikram’s daughter amongst the hostages. The plane lands at the airport during the hijack, where Vikram is working as a ground man and he gets a opportunity to get inside the airplane in which his daughter is flying. The film shows some thrilling actions scenes on the Runway and when Vikram lands on the airplane and goes inside. The terrorists try to get the deal of releasing their people with the government. Esha Deol plays the air hostess who helps Vikram to execute his plan and she gets shot in the end while trying to help out passengers

Kunal Shivdasani worked hard in his first movie to make some sconces look real and the incidents in the second half are really grasping. The cinematography is fine. Screenplay is ok. Shiney Ahuja is best of all. Esha, Satyajeet and KK Raina are ok. The film goes in breaks when Vikram who is trying to escape passenger from the hijacked plane starts dreaming of his love life and music comes in-between looks like interruption to the real stuff.

The unpredictable script is executed well though the film script is similar to the real life incident of Hijacked Indian plane that landed on Kandhar. The grasp on the script is strong in a few sequences. Even the real life incident was very sad and fearing and the same fear has been installed in the film. The emotions of the passengers that get killed by the terrorist have been shown in the film that looks unreal.

The film has mixture of many goods and bad events, and it can not be termed outstanding action movie on Hijack but still the effort is worth to watch once.
