Music Review: Hello

Sajid –Wajid get together to compose the music of the upcoming film “Hello” that is based on the story of a novel written by Chetan Bhagat about a night in a call centre.

‘‘Hello Title Track” – The song has artists Wajid, Suzy Q, Ishq Bector, Herchelle, Merlin and Tim getting together to give voice to a party number with many musical sounds that symbolizes the presence police or beeps etc and that creates an atmosphere in a call centre where you get a phone call and then the employees have to response. There is also the “Hello Party Mix” with the additional sounds and high beat. The song is average to hear.

“Rab Ka Banda” – This is a poetic song in the album that has expressive lyrics written by Jalees Sherwani. The music has western and sufi instruments mixed together. The song is in voice of Sonu Nigam, Zubin and Sunidhi Chauhan and it is to portray confidence of the people involved in their way of living.

“Karle Baby Dance Wance” – The song is a dance number having the Punjabi Bhangra effect and it is in voice of Daler Mehndi and Sunidhi Chauhan. Both the singers have confident voice in the song but the overall effect is not new.

”Mitwa Re”- The song is romantic number in the voice of Shaan and Sadhna Sargam and the song is average romantic song.

“Caravan“- The song “Caravan” has the sound of tabla beats and it is a slow pace sad number about life’s caravan (journey).The song will be a situational number in the voice of Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and the sufi sounds is used in this slow number. The music is average.

”Bang Bang Bang” – This is a kind of disco number in the voice of Wajid. The song shows Salman Khan doing an item number for the film. A lot of drum and guitar sounds have been used in the song and it is like a concert held by a famous singer. This one is not very impressive as expected.

The songs of the album are not like chartbusters but a few songs are above average to hear.
