Music Review: EMI

The music of the film “EMI” has been composed by Chirantan Bhatt and six lyricists have been employed to get the tracks. The film talks of ill effects of untrue financial offers that are lucrative initially but later they are burden for the takers .These loans and EMI’s has eventually hit global market across the world in a big way.

‘Chori Chori Dekhe Mujhko’ – The song has been written by Shakeel Azmi and the song has a mid-east kind of music. The song is in voice of Chirantan Bhatt and it is full of sensual beatings. There is also a remixed version of the song that is present with additional beats and the voice of Sunidhi Chauhan and Suzan make remixed version hearable.

‘Ankhon Hi Ankhon Mein’ – The song is written by Sarim Momin and it is a sweet love song in the voice of Mohit Chauhan. The song is slow with music of guitar and it is basically a romantic number that is good to hear.

‘EMI’ –The title song is in voice of Suzan, Earl and Mahalaxmi Iyer and Sanjay Dutt. The song is fun about EMI payers and an attractive music video of the song has also been made, that is shown in the promotional of the film. The lyrics of the song have been written by Shabbir Ahmed and Hamza Faruqui. There is also a remixed version of the song present in the album and it is a kind of introductory for every character of the film.

‘Aaja Meri Jane Ja’ – The song has voice of Shaan and background support from Suzan and Rishi. The lyrics are by Hamza Faruqui’s and are average to listen.

‘Roshan Har Dil’ – The composer Chirantan Bhatt’s makes harmonious song ‘Roshan Har Dil’ about a boy going for canle light dinner with his girlfriend and he has to pay for it. The song is in voice of Paarthiv.

‘Vote For Sattar Bhai’ – The song is in voice of Ninaad Kamat though the song also has lovely mimicry of veteran bollywood actors of Mithun Chakraborty, Shatrughan Sinha and Rajkumar, that can be heard in the song and the lyrics are like a narration.

The album is entertaining for some songs that are average romantic and fun songs. You don’t have chartbusters in the album.
