Music Review: Roadside Romeo

The music of the Yash Raj Banner film “Roadside Romeo” has been composed by Salim-Suleiman and the lyrics of the song has been written by Jaideep Sahni. The film is directed by debutant Jugal Hansraj who is known for being an actor.

‘Main Hoon Romeo’- The song “Main Hoon Romeo” has been written in a comic style by Jaideep Sahni’s and the song is in voice of Kunal Ganjawala. The song has high beats and melody and a remixed version with additional disco beats are also present. This is a party song with enthusiastic beats.

‘Choo Le Na’- Sunidhi Chauhan gets behind the mike for the song “Choo Le Na” and the instrument sounds like some Latin kind of music. The song has vocals of Sudesh Bhosle and KK. A remixed version of the song has been added in the track list by DJ Suketu and it is basically a club remixed version with high beats and catchy western sounds.

‘Cool Cool’ –The song is a funny cool one in the voice of Naresh Kamath and Marianne D’Cruz and the characters who appear onscreen in the song are Javed Jaffery and Saif Ali Khan (in animation characters.)

‘So Right’ – The song is in the voice of Kunal Ganjawala and Gayatri Iyer and it is basically a romantic number in which the couple is romancing in moonlight. Lots of instruments sounds can be heard in this song.

‘Apni Dumm Bhi Oonchi Ho’ –The film “Apni Dumm Bhi Oonchi Ho” is basically animation with dogs and hence the lyrics of the track have been written in a way to gratify dogs. The song has voices of Kunal Ganjawala, Earl, Jugal Hansraj, Salim Merchant and Anushka Manchandani. This is a light situational song.

‘Rooftop Romance’ –The song “Rooftop Romance” has romantic sounds of instruments having music of the song “So right.”

This is basically a fun album that matches the characters type displayed in the animation movie and the placements of songs in the film and their effect in story will make the movie expressive.
