Bollywood celebrates Diwali in South Africa

Shahrukh Khan was in Dubai on Diwali eve and therefore he couldn’t celebrate Diwali in India. A few other actors celebrated the function with families and close relatives and many other Bollywood stars celebrated Diwali in South African city of Lenasia. The celebration was organized at Rameshwar Mahadev Mandir in the suburb of Lenasia on Tuesday evening.

Kim Sharma who was in the function said, that she is getting a huge support from Indian fans and she is overwhelmed by the support she got in a foreign place. Celina Jaitley was present in the function and she urged her fans to watch her latest movie “Golmaal Returns” that was scheduled to be released on next day of Diwali.

African National Congress President Jacob Zuma was also present in the function as the crowds gathered on the show and cheered the celebrations. Bollywood stars were brought to South Africa by a Gupta family known for celebrating Diwali every year with pump and show .Upen Patel pulled two girls from crowd to join him on stage during dance performance.

The show was sponsored by Sahara group. Many IT companies have been established in the city and the show was sponsored by software company Sahara Computers. A huge firework ,singing and dances were organized on the day to celebrate upcoming Diwali festival and the organizers said ,with growing number of Indians in the town , celebrations is hugely participate by the local crowds.
