Music Review: Dasvidaniya

Kailash Kher composed the music of the film “Dasvidaniyan” and he has been supported by Paresh and Naresh in composing the three songs for the album. The music of the album is fresh and different from the kind of songs we have been hearing from some time.

‘Muskura’ –The song is in voice of Sonu Nigam and the song has a philosophical kind of lyrics. The song is a kind humanitarian and a unique number of the decade. This one is a slow paced meaningful song that tells people to keep smiling in sad times. The sound of keyboard synthesizers and accordion can be heard in the song.

‘Alvida’ –’Alvida’ is a title track of the film and it comes with high beats and sober outcome. Sound of guitar and effective meaning of the lyrics of the song about love and life is exquisite to hear. You even have a remixed version of the song that has additional sounds and it will attract young audience.

‘Mumma’ –’Mumma’ has the lead actor Vinay Pathak talking to his onscreen mummy. It is a funny number (like the one “Mummy O Mummy …Tu kab saas banegi” of the film “Khatta Mitha”).This song is about a pampered son talking to his loving ma. This one has good lyrics and low beats. This is a cute composition unexpectedly from Kailash.

The album has less number of songs but the songs are worth to be heard.
