Music Review: Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!
oye
The music of the film “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!” has been composed by Sneha Khanwalkar .This is a Dibakar Banerjee’s project, who debuted from the “Khosla Ka Ghosla.” This album is full of Punjabi songs.

‘Oye Lucky’ –The song is a Punjabi bhangra number where the original Punjabi lyrics and music has been retained. For the city audience a remixed version of the song is present. The song comes in voice of Mika Singh and it is written by Dibakar Banerjee, Manu Rishi and Kanu Behl. The song is full of energy and beats.

‘Jugni’ – The song has been written by Rishi and Kanu Behl and it is a Punjabi folk kind of song having western music inputs. The song is about a girl in love. You have a remixed version for those who would love to dance on beats instead of trying to understand the lyrics.

‘Tu Raja Ki Raj Dulari’ –This is more like a folk Rajasthani number written by Mange Ram and this is also a rural love song. Some western kind of music can also be heard in this one, added in by the music composer. The song is in voice of Rajbir and the lyrics are not all Hindi.

‘Superchor’ – The song ‘Superchor’ is a Punjabi rap number in voice of Dilbahar and the lyrics are by Dibakar Banerjee and Amitosh Nagpal. This is a fun song full of energy and beatings.

‘Hooriyaan’ –The song has been sung by Brijesh Shandilya and Himani Kapoor and the song must be placed during some kind of ceremony in the film. The song has been composed by Dibakar Banerjee and Amitosh Nagpal.

This album is for those who love to hear energetic Punjabi -Hindi numbers and Punjabi raps. There is also a kind of folk touch associated to the album that is an attraction.
