Mira approached actor Randeep Hooda for this role of a gay in her new venture titled ‘The Migration’. But Randeep refused to play the part.
It was then Irrfan Khan, who plays one of the leading roles in Nair’s latest movie The Namesake came to Nair’s rescue. Irrfan agreed to play the part of a gay man.Mira is pretty impressed with Irrfan’s professionalism and his desire to take on challenging roles.
‘The Migration’ is being described as a love story between two men. It will be just a 12-minute movie aimed at spreading AIDS awareness.
Plans are afoot to tie up with big production houses to screen the film before forthcoming Bollywood movies in theatres.
