Minissha is ready for love

The actor on her fondness for diamonds and searching for romance.

After her debut film ‘Yahaan’, actor Minissha Lamba was seen in ‘Corporate’ and lately in Reema Kagti’s ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd’. Interestingly, the three films won her much notice.

Recently, Minissha was spotted sporting a solitaire on her dainty finger. When quizzed whether it was a gift, Minissha replied, “Oh no! As of now, there is only one person who is generous enough to gift me solitaries. And that person is me! The solitaire was something I gifted to myself during a trip to Dubai. I love diamonds. I had promised myself a couple of them once I began earning well.”

However, Minissha admits that she is open to the idea of love knocking at her doors. “I’ve reached a comfortable stage in my career to divert a bit of my attention to matters of the heart. But just a bit, mind you,” laughs Minissha.

Though she isn’t against dating someone from the industry, Minissha doesn’t want to hitch up with an actor. “It’s not as if I have preconceived notions about their famed narcissism. But if my partner and I are both going to be away from home for indefinite spells, it won’t be long before the relationship goes into the dumps,” explains Minissha. Nevertheless she adds, “I wouldn’t like to talk about something that I’m clueless about. You never know what destiny has in store for you.”

Career wise, Minissha is excited about her upcoming film, Anant Mahadevan’s ‘Anamika’. “I have had my share of cute and light-hearted roles. In ‘Anamika’, I have a strong, author-backed role. My character is that of a girl, who gets into a family and goes through experiences she had never imagined she would,” quips Minissha who has also bagged Sanjay Gadhvi’s next venture ‘Kidnap’.
