At Shriram Mandir, Shivpuri, there is a lucky draw being played and a number is printed on all the tickets of the movie. The one lucky winner is presented a saree and a blouse after every show.

Then moving on to Jyoti cinema in Guna, the exhibiotrs have gone a step further by organising a lucky draw whose winner gets a free train ticket worth Rs. 410 to the Vaishno Devi temple. A.R. Rehman composes two more songs for Guru

You can’t get enough of ace composer A.R. Rehman. For film-maker Mani Ratnam, it is more and more of him in his next film Guru. Even after the release of the soundtrack of Guru, which is apparently doing well with the audiences, Mani wants an addition of two more songs by Rehman for the movie.

Mani Ratnam was highly impressed by A.R. Rehman’s one ‘chant’ number and a backgrund score that now he wants two full-fledged songs instead of just the short soundtracks. Mani Ratnam says, “The two songs are part of the background score. This happens with A R and me in most of our films.

A song sometimes adds so much to an emotion, it seems to have a direct connect with the viewer. in our collaborations the music just keeps flowing in, all through the making of the film and even later. Now we have to find a way to get these tracks on to the CD.” (more…)

Shah Rukh willing to do Arab movies now

After reigning over Bollywood for the past 15 years, the King Khan is eyeing a different territory for conquest. Shah Rukh Khan’s seeming popularity in the middle east has sprouted a desire in the superstar to act in the Arab movies as well.

SRK is currently in Dubai for the 3rd Dubai international Film Festival (DiFF) where he has been invited among a few selected Bollywood artists. He was honoured by DiFF at the festival for his immense contribution to cinema of india in particular.

Coming back to SRK’s Dubai aspirations, the actor is open to be a part of any Arab film project if and when he’s desired by nay of their film-makers. “it would be a different experience for me to work in an Arab film. And to any such offer from an Arab film-maker, i would say Assalamu Alaikum, without a second thought,” said Shah Rukh. (more…)

New Year’s Eve will get spiced up as Bollywood beauties Priyanka Chopra and Koena Mitra will perform with Canadian singer Nelly Furtado at her concert in Mumbai on December 31st.
The two actresses will perform to Bollywood numbers as the opening act to the concert at Andheri Sports complex.

They will be joined by the Grammy winning singer later on. Priyanka and Koena Mitra will dance to many of their hit numbers on the stage. Nelly Furtado will belt out some of her classic numbers like grammy winner- “i ‘m like a bird” and latest hits from her album “Loose”. (more…)
