Adnan Sami sings for Bhappi Lahiri in JHOOM

aAt the Spectral Harmony Studio on Saturday last where he was present to record a song “Oh Jaana Oh Jaana, Yeh Dil Ka Afsana” under the baton ship of music director Bhappi Lahiri, Adnan is full of praise for his music composer.

The song is for the film ‘Jhoom-Dance With Me Again’ produced by Aaishwarya Babbar son of producer and director B Subhash under the banner Aaishwarya Movie Productions.

The film will be directed by Shweta B Subhash and is written by Malveika B Subhash, daughters of B Subhash. (more…)

Alka Yagnik is bothered by the lack of originality in today’s film songs.

“There’re a lot of re-mixes happening. It’s the current trend. But melodious music will always remain predominant. I’m getting my quota of songs. I don’t want to sing more than that.

“I’ll tell you something. The face of the heroine in Hindi cinema has changed. They’re no longer the delicate beauties that they were in the days of Madhuri Dixit.

The kind of voices that were earlier seen to be suited to vamps, husky and seductive, are now used for the heroines.”

Karan Johar calls Madhuri Dixit for a Koffee

In one the episodes of Koffee With Karan, the host has called 90s favourite Madhuri Dixit Nene for a chat.

“Everyone knows Karan is a huge Madhuri fan. He was a kind of assistant during ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and adores Madhuri since then. At the end of the show, Karan calls Rani Mukherji on, who is also a huge Madhuri fan.” (more…)

Talented Anupam Kher’s most unusual assignment this year is Shashi Ranjan’s comedy, Mungeri Rocks which is an Indo-Pak co-production. “Talent has no borders or religion. The film will have Indian and Pakistani actors and will be shot in Dubai” says Anupam.

Anupam is unfazed by the fact that the role was first offered to Boman Irani. He says, “Every role has its own destiny. I was supposed to play Mogambo in Mr India until Amrish Puri stepped in.” (more…)
