On the coming Friday the movies Mithya and SuperStar are due to get released and both the movies are similar in depicting struggling Bollywood actor’s stories. Mithya is a Rajat Kapoor movie produced by Arindam Chaudhary.
The movie will again have the actors Ranveer Shauri and Vinay Pathak known for making a small budget movie successful. Super Star is a movie made by Rohit Jugraaj and Kunal Khemu for the first time is playing a double role in the movie.
The last Friday released movie Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama was not promoted as such to get the attention of the audience and there were no other attraction in the movie to bring people to theatres in the difficult cold weathers of India.
The movie was based on married couples and married life troubles, but couldn’t get even more than 5% collection in many regions where the movie was screened. Even the chemistry of Neha Dhupia and Rajpal Yadav was not as such attractive to bring people to theatres.
The movies released in earlier weeks have also suffered the cold waves and couldn’t survive. The movie Sunday which was expected to gain after the first week had a slow down in collections. The movie Halla Bol was down in it initial week of release. Bombay to Bangkok was straight away rejected on release and My Name is Anthony Gonsalves couldn’t create any magic on the box office.
The only movie surviving at the box office is the Aamir Khan movie Taare Zameen Par that was released in so called inauspicious month by Bollywood, that is in December and the movie that is based on the story of a little child is still selling in audience and people are going to watch the movie in theatres. Other then Taare Zameen Par none of the movie last released could create any magic.
